I have been offered a replacement under warranty by Verizon on my 7250 (personally I think at this stage they just do not know how to solve the issue which in my eyes is minor) however, my questions is this: Are the replacement units new units that will then start a new warranty period, or are these refurbished units? My unit is only 2 months old and I am relatively happy with it and question how wise it is to replace the unit with one that may have already had what could have been serious issues or been mistreated and abused. I have also heard that these replacement units come with no batteries and in many cases even no battery door. To boot i have solved the issues i called to report in the first place. I am facing a dilemma and do not know if I should return it or exchange it, I also know I will get a new PIN number which is not making me happy at all. Can I get some input on this matter to make an informed decision please. Thanks in advance again everyone.

Kon Tiki - I too have the 7250 from VZW and had to replace it just last month. I was very uneasy about receiving a refurb unit. I have a refurb unit now and can not tell that it was a refurb. Yes like you said in your post, mine did not come with a battery yet it did have a door. The refurb has a year warranty from the time I received it so I say what the heck....go for it.

sometimes refurbished are better than new all the bugs are usually gone from them.

Refurbs will come in a BRAND NEW housing so it really doesnt matter and if they offer a year warranty from when you recieve it you cant go wrong.

Thanks Guys I accepted the Replacement and so far so good, at least i have a full year warranty from now on.
