Aloha...

Can anyone here possibly, on a mac or FOR a mac....alter a video I have, that cannot be used in any mac editing software, so that it can be worked with say, in imovie or something?

It is from my 8300, was sent to me from a friend so that I clould have it but I cannot get in touch woith anoyone who can maybe, make this happen for me.

sorry to post here, but it's my last shot....anyone?

What format is the video in and how long is the video?

video is only 29 seconds...and the format is wmv (mp4 i think :::shrugs::

Have you tried Mpeg Streamclip for the Mac at Squared 5 - MPEG Streamclip video converter for Mac and Windows It opens wmv files and allows conversion of them to a multitude of other formats, and it performs editing functions.

Thank you too knocka, I will give that a go although, someone on the apple forums told me that the file was really going to be a difficult one to be converted to be thrown in any editing program on a mac.....:::shrug:::

Nah, it took me seconds to convert it to DV so mac-forum-person was a tad confused. I'd recommend using the program Knocka suggested to convert the file I'm sending you to digital video. The converted DV file is 99 MBs, so it's a little large to email.
