I am a T-Mobile cel phone subsciber looking to go to a 7290 by purchasing one off of ebay.
Can I buy a Cingular 7290 and pop my T Mobile SIM in it?
One seller stated that this is the case, but I'd rather hear it from the experts.

Some early Cingular 7290's were unlocked. Recent units however have been locked. If you are already a t-mo subscriber why not get a 7290 from them. I'm guessing the Cingular unit is going to sell for as much used (if it's unlocked) as you could get a new unit from tmo.
