Default Need a little Help!

Please Login to Remove!

I aplogize if i'm in the wrong section.... but I just got my 7290 (with Cingular) and have been trying for the last 24 hours to get the device to work. I have created an account on cingular's website which is pulling the email correctly but nothing is reaching my blackberry. Since I'm on a MAC OSX I can't use the desktop software. I have been trying the activation with the email address that cingular provided for me as well as the password that I set up but it just keeps saying that it failed.

I'm 12 hours away from giving up and going to a Treo 650....

Please help!

Thanks

Sherri

Can you send mail directly to the address that Cingular provided and have it come through?

Nope. I keep trying to activate through Enterprise Activation -- which keeps failing -- server not responding.

The email I sent to the Cingular provided address did go through to the https://webclient.blackberry.net/WebMail/ -- so it is working. And I am seeing all the other accounts that I set up there.

Maybe I'm not supposed to be using Enterprise?

If your using the BlackBerry Web Client there is no need for Enterprise Activation that's for BES users.

Just update the emails accounts on the web page and all emails will be forwarded to your BB. I had the same problem in the beginning. I had the Web and BES running at the same time.

If I try to compose I get a message that says -- No message configured. You will only be able to save draft.

So it appears that the Blackberry doesn't even know i have service?

With regard to using your BlackBerry with a Mac, have you looked into PocketMac for BlackBerry?
