I can't figure out how to save .xls, .doc, .pdf, etc. files to my 7100G. Is there a built in tool or third party app I need or is it even possible?

I only "know where the keys are", but I've understood since before I purchased that this is one of the limitations of the BB: it cannot save or modify attachments. I've only been able to save .jpg attachments.

Not sure if this helps, but you can save the email along with the attachment to the "Saved Messages" area. I believe this is local on the memory. Also, if you do this, make sure you retrieve the whole attachment by scrolling all the way through it. There also paid 3rd party apps.

Are you on BES, I created a subfolder to my inbox in my outlook that I store a few documents I need anytime. I can access that folder on my BB by doing a view folder.
