i need help.

i just switched from windows phone to the BBerry Curve on the SPRINT PCS network.

I heard that I would be able to use GMAIL app and Opera with my phone without having to sign up for the $30 BBerry plan.

But I cant get any of the apps on the phone.

You will only be able to install them by adding the apps from your computer using Blackberry Desktop Software. Without a Blackberry Data Plan you are severely limited on how you use your BB.

With Sprint, you'll need a Blackberry plan to do anything data related. The PowerVision plan is not compatible with your phone. I know this because Sprint accidentally put me on a PV plan and I could do absolutely nothing that required data access.

Keep in mind that the Everything Plan WILL work. But a lower priced voice plan with PV will not.

Some have said that there is a way to do this (you may want to do a search), but Sprint will tell you that it doesn't work and I can tell you, first hand, that it does not (and your experience confirms this).

Why are you keeping Powervision if you switched to a BB?
