I have a Pearl that when you are at the main screen and press a key, it thinks it is a phone number. How do I set it so that you can only dial phone numbers in the phone app and pressing numbers on the main screen will not try to dial out?

The Pearl does not have that options. it always dials from Home Screen.

If you are worried about accidental dialing try standby mode: Press and hold the mute button on top of the device. Tap it again to come out of standby. This prevents accidental key presses but leaves the phone fully functional.

Well, I guess I should have asked the real question to begin with.

How do you display the log files on the Pearl? On my 8300 I just type lglg.

It's alt + L G L G

I like the fact that i can type in a few syllables from the main screen and it finds the phone #

Locking the keypad works great also..

I only suggest standby because it's eaiser to bring it back out. Just a tap of the mute key brings it out instead of the * Send.
