Hi Guys,
New here, forum looks good
Just have a problem at the moment that I hope someone can help with.
Exchange 2003, SP2 (5 servers, maybe 4-5 thousand users)
BES 4.1.1 - almost 1000 users
Up until a few days ago, all users could browse their local Intranet fine (not Internet, but that's another story for another day).
Now something insanely weird is happening. Any *new* user who is added to the BES, can not browse. they get an error message
Unable to connect to the select mobile data service.
Now the strange thing is, as I said, is that this happens to *only* new users who are added to the BES. I might try and put it into bullet points
1. An existing user can browse fine.
2. An existing user, who wipes and re-activates, can still browse fine.
3. An existing user, who wipes, is removed from the BES completely, then re-activates can NOT browse.
4. A brand new user, just added from AD can NOT browse.
Scenario 3 and 4 get the following message.
Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service. If problem persists, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your system administrator.
I tried BTSC, found a few articles
1.

Triple checked these
2.

This thread here specifies a similar, but different error message. Still, checked all these, all good.

Could it be related to this?
The work around says
Workaround
To workaround this issue, increase the default queue size limit from 200 to 20000 by adding the following entry to the Rimpublic.Property file:
IPPP.Request.queuesize=20000
Anyone had any experience with a problem like this before? Unforutnately I can't just jump on and test it due to a change management process which is approved by my manager, to be done after hours - basically it means that I need to be as sure as I can be that this will fix the issue. I have work scheduled in for Wednesday, so I can't even restart the service until then!
Thanks all in advanced.
