Sorry guys...New to the forums.. I've done some searching and came up empty. I was told theres a free program you can DL to the 8300 that can make the track wheel and led different colors...Any help is appreciated.

a) the Curve doesn't have a track wheel

b) the trackball can not be made to change colors, the hardware isn't there for the Curve

c) the LED can change colors, this thread is just a few under yours

not for the 8300. only has one color led under the ball. that program was/is for the pearl

Sorry... Track Ball.....The one a few threads under me I read and it didnt say it worked...Guess this phone wasn't for me..I haven't figured out much on it, but the things it does I dont use =(

Changing the color of the tract ball is what ya base whether a phone is for you or not? WoW.

No, not that.. I was told you could. A little let down yes, determining if its for me because of that, No.....I havent figured out much on the phone. It seems to be a great phone, I just dont use the things I'm reading it does...

It really is a great phone, I came from an iphone and to me my 8310 is worlds better. Why not ask about the things you care about, ya just might be surprised.

If you are brave you can try this. It's actually easy to remove the trackball assembly and it seems that some members are using colored cellophane to change the color.

It's a option if it means that much to ya!

I did the above fix. Used a post-it flag in blue. Cut a small piece. Removed the trackball and put the piece of post-it flag over the LED. Reintalled the trackball and viola - I now have a blue trackball. It's a pretty sweet workaround.
