I realize that you can record your voice but only to send it in a voicenote. First, you can only send voicenotes to ppl who have blackberries right? Second, If someone sent me a voicenote through bb messenger, I can save it and set it as a ringer. Is there ANY voice recorder application that I can just record, save, and set as ringers? Thanks if any of you can help!

No. In the next major OS release this will be included.

I believe you can send voice notes over MMS.

I'm using a pearl 8130 running 4.4.0.66 and I can record a voice note and set it as a ringer.

That's because the 8130 already has that major OS release (4.3.0.) The other devices don't have it yet.

Like John said above that is a feature in 4.3. I MMS the voicenote to my computer email and convert it t an MP3 and then put it on my media card to use for whatever I want. Extra steps but will get you what you want.
