Brand new purchased from where? Such would be odd (although entirely possible).

Here is the latest OS for that device:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...s-chinese.html

Follow the instructions exactly as posted and you will be cool.

Good luck, and welcome to THE bb Forums.

Default thanks

I'll try and thanks for the welcome.
I got that from the factory, a friend of mine works there and he can buy parts, so he build one for me.

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 8320: Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.0.9800/230; U; en))

Maybe use JL_Cmdr to wipe the device then load the software onto it.

Thanks.

This last days I have been working on fixing the problem but all of my efforts have been no good.

I already run JL_Cmdr and wipe My BB but it still the same.

On the screen I get a blank page that says No application linked (factory OS).
when I plug, windows will detect the BB, but when I run the -DM- and then application loader, at the connect on dropdown menu, I get this:
"USB-PIN: FFFFFFFF". I run the app loader and for a second I see "USB-PIN:UNKNOWN" and then it will tell me "The Blackberry desktop software does not have Blackberry device software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator." . I have also check the connection settings and all I get are 2 popups; the first one says: "Please ensure that the device is connected properly." and then when I close that one I get: " USB Device found. PIN:FFFFFFFF".

I already instaled all the versions of the curve 8320 that I know of except for the one from T-mobil (my BB is from T-mobil) because I don't have a T-mobil phone number to download it.

Please help.

Without a PIN, you can't interact with RIM for Internet or email, nor can you sync with Outlook or other such applications for contacts and calendar. Appears to be pretty much useless IMHO.

I agree... I dont think that the device is going to be capable of any actual blackberry functionality without a PIN.

Yes you guys have said the truth. But is there any way fix that? Could that be a hardware problem.

Someone is going to kill me :(

And yes that song is berry good.

The PIN is hardwired at the factory in the ROM. No one outside RIM can reflash the ROM!

Without a PIN, you can not get the device registered on the network.

If I were you, I would try to return the parts to your friend and see if he can get your money back for them.

Why did you want to build one instead of buy one anyway? Was the savings you were expecting that much?

A brand new Curve 8310 from AT&T is only $99 right now. Maybe you should look into that avenue?

I understand wanting to make a friend happy, but it's really a poor payback for you to commit to him and get screwed like this for it.

Have you talked to him about any of this stuff?
