Default Do I have a serious crackberry addiction??

Please Login to Remove!

I'm not new to blackberries, but I did go back to Motorolas for a while before coming back to the crack...Lately I noticed just about all of my friends were complaining about how much i'm on my phone when i'm around them, so I decided to check my minute and text usage. To my surprise, for the month of November I have so far racked up over 3100 text messages and 2569 minutes total I know I never used my cell phone this much before, but is this a little abnormal or does anyone else text and talk as much as I do?

I wouldn't say its excessive. You are looking at 98 minutes of talk time each day, and 119 text messages per day.

I use my phone for business and personal, and I am sure I pass 2500 minutes of talk time by the 15th of each month. I use JiveTalk, and as a result I dont send too many Text Messages, but if my chat messages were counted, I have more than a couple hundred per day.

The key to this is that I place my calls and send chat messages when its socially acceptable; not during meals, conversations, or time with my kids. Its all about perception.

naa that isnt that excessive. 7000+ texts a month and nearly 500mb of data usage, as well as over 2000 minutes is excessive :D yes that is me I am talking about

500 mb of data? Do you have a bb unlimited plan or a data connect plan? And if you're just using the bb unlimited has anyone gotten curious about that much usage?

I've heard of people getting suspicious that bb users are tethering without using the data connect plan, apparently a no-no.

I'm right around 200mb/month and I've only had it for two months. I can't tell if I'll progressivly get more dependent on it and that number will grow or if this first wave of new programs and playing around has the number inflated and it will eventually go down.

I am guilty of about 100 pins a day to my wife but only about 50 or 75 minutes of talk time a month. Pins are free. SMS text is not.

My fioncee and I have an old t-mobile family time phone plan but I mainly use my bb for data. I'm lucky if I make more than 10 phone calls to people other than him.

My data usage will probably be going up soon becasue I'm going to be tethering my laptop to my curve at work. The network throughput is slow enough as it is and the "break room" computers are monitored which is to be expected.
