what are these for? does anyone know what they are for the sprint phones? what is the advantage of inputing this data?

It's to put in info for an APN. If you need to know what an APN is please Google or wiki it. It's used a lot by GSM carriers to control Internet access to the phone, not so much on CDMA carriers.

I would like to add that you "will" need this on the Sprint 8830 if you are traveling internationally. This will need to be set to cinetpcs.com in order to get the data to work when using GSM.
