Default 8820 on T-Mobile Browser problem

Please Login to Remove!

So, I unlocked an 8820 and it is running on my Exchange BES - all sync'd working fine with messages from exchange and from a couple of internet email accounts. I have the APN setting to wap.voicestream.com. But, when I try to pull up any of my saved bookmarks through the blackberry browser I get the error - "Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your administrator." I don't have MDS enabled on my BES - I didn't need it with my 8700g, which connected to the Internet and all of my bookmarks just fine without the MDS service started.

What am I missing here?

Default 8820 on T-Mobile Browser problem

I think I know my problem - since this phone is from At&t I only have a Blackberry Browser. How can I enable the "internet browser" like I had on my 8700g? It was the "internet browser" that I always used on my 8700g and this is my preference.

Thanks for any suggestions....

Take a look at http://www.blackberryforums.com/wifi...tml#post706134

I had the same problem and applied the fix specified by jawbrkr in that conversation.

Thanks for the help - I did this and I still do not have an "internet browser" option in advanced/browser. I have three options - Blackberry Browser, T-zones, Wi-Fi Browser. I have a slight work around in that I edit my saved bookmarks and change the browser to t-zones and now the pages bookmarked will load. But this is kind of a pain and would still like to have the Internet Browser option.

again - thanks for any suggestions,

Sam
