Default How often do you change batteries

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all,

Just wondering how often does everyone replace their batteries (I mean buy a new one and toss the old one).
I am using a 8700 for a year now and I am finding I need to charge the device every other day. In the past it seemed every 5 days to a week.
I am an average user, if that means anything and don't use the phone that much, but get a few hundred emails or so.

Thanks!

I've never replaced a battery on any of my (6+) BB's.

Have you loaded any apps?

Has coverage changed at any of the locations that you frequent?

There are a number of factors that can affect battery life. The battery itself is just one of them.

Charge every other day isn't all that bad, really. This is my 3rd BB and I have never changed the battery out for a new one.

Do you ever let the battery run completely dead? Dis-charging every so often is a great way to keep the battery like new.

Only time I ever changed batteries was to get a higher capacity battery (old Nextel BB performed poorly due to coverage issues). With my new BB, no issues.

Sorry, but I disagree with that. The lithium batteries seem to perform better if you do not let them discharge completely. Older ni-cads yes, lithium no.
