Thanks for the advice.
Cool, good deal...But I'm going to tell you this.... My wife would kick my butt(being polite) if I used her phone as a test dummy...LMAO.... but no seriously, I'm glad every thing is up and running smooth...I've found that process to work pretty well...

After making several calls and turning off the wi-fi, the phone hasn't reboot. I even used a bluetooth headset for a 30 min call. So, I suggest trying turning off the wi-fi to see if that helps you. But so far, so good! I'll keep everyone posted if anything changes.
Oh, I'm back onuma.now.

I'm running 4.5.0.46 currently but I needed the camera and the voice mail icon to work well. So now I'm downgrading back to 4.2.1.109. I don't really need a lot of these new features, only some are good but still 4.2.1.109 has a working camera and voice mail icon.

So has anyone downloaded a version without Quincy? I just got one, went to add/remove programs and don't see the internal tools.

I can't even get .46 to load on my 8820. After the first device initialization, the app loader bombs out with an "unspecified error: [J:0x00000005]" and the device shows a 507 error screen. Anyone else have this issue? I got the same thing when i tried to load .42.

Guys, has the battery life improved on 46 or 48? That's really my biggest concern.

Default keypad lock

anyone having an issue with locking the keys while on the "front today" theme. I sued to be able to alt-ent and it would lock from both the main and apps page. Now it just locks on the app page. On the main screen the enter gets passed and open whatever is highlighted.

Update on my reboots - it doesn't matter if I have wi-fi on or off, but I do notice that whenever I talk to another mobile phone, whether they're VZW or AT&T, the phone reboots. However, I haven't gotten disconnected with my wife who is also on T-MO. I talked to someone over landline for about 30 minutes yesterday and that call never got the (re)boot. I'll try it again this afternoon.

I'm going to try a cleanwipe of my phone and then try to load this OS back on there. I haven't heard of anyone losing their SIM card on this version, so I feel confident that once I can figure out the reboots, this could be a fairly solid OS.

If you have the "dial from homescreen" turn off you can just press the "k" button and it locks the keys

Can't saw for VZW but I have called AT&T phones and it doesn't reboot...maybe it is a bad load. I wiped mine before I loaded it on, on accident cause it came up with a 506/571 error and I wiped it thinking that would fix it but didn't and I just needed to uncheck the "backup before installing" option on the DM

Default keypad lock

@BCollins521

I use the dial from home screen all the time, and I never had the problem with 4.3, It stopped working with 4.5.37,44, and 46. Both my 8820 and 8320.

Huh, maybe it was something RIM decided to take out or haven't caught. I took the dial from home screen off cause I like the shortcuts to things...much faster than just being able to make calls. I use my BB for texting/emailing more than calling

So there are 2 problems on my 8320 tmobile 4.5.0.46:

1) No VMI
2) When I dial voicemail, it connects then disconnects. I have to dial my own phone number to get to my voicemail.

Guess I might have to downgrade. VM is something I can't live without!

I'm running .46 on my 8320 and I experienced the reboot issue for the first time yesterday. It only happened when I made an outbound call -- the phone rang once and then rebooted. I believe each time that it happened was over UMA (so far it has happened 3 times and each time, I believe, I was calling a land line).

I am also having problems with the cell to UMA handoff. The call will typically get disconnected.

So I took the plunge today. It appeared most everyone having issues were on T-Mobile so being on AT&T I tried it.

Before upgrade 8 megs after 16 megs going from 42 to 46. Everything is working well so far.
