bk - VZN blocks the GPS stream within your device. There are several threads on that subject in the forums. Feel free to send me a PM, we can chat but until they change their service setting it won't change. GB

I have had an installed version of GolfTraxx on my 8820 for the last few months. I tried it on a course for the first time last Saturday. The course seemed to be in GolfTraxx but it did not seem to find my location. Instead it showed some outrageous distance to the pin. Is that a problem with T-Mobile not letting the application gain access to the GPS? I would love to be able to use this software.

What zip code and course were you on? I'll check on my Curve. My initial reply is that we have the scorecard, but no one has yet mapped the course.

I am in 08525 but the course was not. Is there an easy way to find a course in my area that is in the system? Once I find out that it works I'm more than happy to add the courses that I play.

HNSimpson - Unfortunetly, VZN blocks the GPS signal. We do not run on that platform unless (GASP) the user buys an external puck/fob.

Hey GB-
I know I've been having a running issue with install - it turned out to be my Desktop software after about the 10th reinstall.
BUT I got it on my phone - now "Uncaught exception:Applicatio golftraxx(154) is not responding; process terminated"

I managed to get this app on my phone while running OS 4.5 so I know its compatible or atleast installable - any head way with the fix for T-Mobile customers?
Let me know - I have a few more coruses that need to be submitted as well - I'll try and get those out by the end of next week!

Is this the correct address as I note in an earlier post you give another e-mail address. Also what format is the post code to be entered is it "SE9 5AF" or "SE95AF", whatever i input i seem to get a timed out error.

Hi Martin - Yes that is fine. I got it from him in good shape and will get it in the production queue. We have been growing by about 50 courses a week , and our backlog is almost done.

I sent a note to you, but just in case, our updated courses are posted at golftraxx.blogspot.com. (were getting away from emails as the distribution list is getting so large that we are showing up in bulk folders instead of inboxes.) I guess that is the price of success.
