Default Questions on Mobile IM on unlmited data plan

Please Login to Remove!

I was told that sending msgs through Mobile IM that has MSN,AIM,and yahoo messanger on it that i would not be charged for txt msgs and that it uses the data to send the messages. Is this true or do i need to get a txt msg plan too
i have the blackberry 8830 unlimited data plan. thanks

ok i was a little worried cause i called up the automated verizon 611 number and it said i had 250 msgs out and 300 somthing recieved and i was like !!!!

Now, that would also concern me...I am POSITIVE that IM's do not count as texts...but it wouldn't reflect on your statement either...I'm concerned as you are that the automated system is saying you have msgs. Private Msg me your number and I can check your account for you.

depends which app you use how messages get counted, verizon mobile IM uses sms, while if you get an app like webmessenger/jivetalk or im+ use data.
