Noted.

I prefer the RIM IM clients-- I like being able to look up and see the IM Icon at the top of the screen. Plus, you can't hot-key into Jivetalk et al.

But thanks for the suggestion

Booyah!! Russ YOU ARE THE MAN!!

I've got all the clients working now, Yahoo, AIM, MSN, and GTalk

You said you were having problems, it took a battery pull to get all the service books back and running again for me.

Also, did you edit the .alx files to either include 102 as a vendor ID or delete the existing vendor id's to ensure that it would load properly on your device?

Has anyone gotten the IM clients to work on an unlocked 8320 other than T-Mobiles network??

ok sorted,
for people who want to try.
load up desktop manager, goto backup-restore. goto advance, file open, select service books, and press the arrow ----> will then need to re-send other service books,

still not working for me tho, im from the uk on o2 network.

"If no service books push down then it may not even be worth it. They may have it locked to 8320 only. JiveTalk still rules."

At some point, the quest just isn't worth it when there are other options that make more sense, period.

Well, I was able to make it work on my phone.

Maybe some more trial and error will get it to work on other people's phones.

The apps still don't work with AT&T. I loaded the applications and the service books. It still points to:

I'm also with AT&T (relevant info I forgot to mention). After trying the same thing with the same results and then just firing up Jivetalk, that's when I had my revelation.

Yes. It's one of those apps that just works, and makes you smile...

Yeah, I tried the batt pull, and just about all the other tricks that normally work. Still no love for me. I'm getting the "Error 65" with WLM, and AIM and ICQ just try and try to connect, but nothing.

It looks like this file was removed from BB forum. Can someone repost the file? I've read all the posts about the IM clients not working, but I want to try everything before I think about coding one.
