Default Lotus Organizer ?

Please Login to Remove!

I need to get a calendar program for my personal life and since my company has implemented an exchange server I no longer store things in Outlook.

I believe the only other calendar option is Lotus Organizer, but before I buy it I was wondering what other options there are for having an electronic calendar on both my PC and BB.

Thanks

I don't think that it will sync with Lotus Organizer. I could be wrong, but I think it syncs with Notes only. Organizer has not been updated for years and quite frankly it is awful.

Your best bet if you are going to buy something is to go ahead and buy Outlook for yourself. You can get Outlook 2007 for only about $50 more.

I have Outlook 2007 on my laptop all ready and it is set up for my work email, work calendar.

I know I can't run another version of Outlook so that is not a good option.

I am trying to figure out how to keep my BB calendar going, but NOT have personal data in Outlook, which gets sync'd to the company server!

Any other suggestions?

If it is only calendar that you care about you could use Google Calendar and Google Sync for Mobile. You could also use Yahoo Calendar from what I hear, but I've no idea how to set that up.

To my knowledge the only desktop PIM's that BB Desktop will sync with are Notes, Outlook and Groupwise.

I am using the Google calendar, its not great, but the price is right.

I am syncing my personal contacts to Outlook Express, it a patch job, but it gets me functional and around the corporate stuff.

Oh well

You can setup multiple profiles in Outlook, why don't you set one up for your exchange mail, and one for personal that don't sync with exchange?

FWIW....

I have users who do sync with Lotus Organizer. Works just fine (one of them is my Company's CEO).

I too have synched Lotus Organizer (6.0), with my 8310 successfully, since I first got the BB. But since I reloaded the software (both Organizer and Desktop Manager) I have not been able to get DM to recognize the existence of Org 6 on my PC. Do you know anyone who has dealt with this experience? I posted another thread, but haven't gotten a reply.
