Okay so I'm relatively new to the Blackberry, just got my 8130 this January. I've been pretty excited for the new OS 4.5 firmware for awhile now. There have been plenty of rumors over the last few months about when it would see the light of day. I thought FOR SURE that RIM would announce/release it during WES 2008. What gives? When will we see this firmware update?

You thought wrong.
It's not up to RIM to release it to the public. It needs carrier approval also, and individual carriers will release the OS to their subscribers as they see fit. It's not a matter of RIM saying "It's Done, you can all have it now."

Again, for the bazillionth jillionth time... no one knows when it will be out for any carrier.
There's no need to start new threads about this.
