When trying to install ESM when I get

"this version of Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 can only be installed on Microsoft Windows Server for Small Business Server"

The customer is using an SBS 2003 Box with which has exchange installed however they want to install their BES on a seperate Windows 2000 server.

I'm stuck because I can't install the ESM tools on this box. Is there a way around this?

If I select to install the 5.5 ESM it will let me but as the exchange is 2003 I very much doubt this will work.

thanks, but as far as I can see it isn't available to download and it seems you can only install it from the CD

Well I managed to figure this one out. You need to install the 5.5 management tools and then service pack it with 2003 SP to bring the mapi32.dll upto date.

Why a Exchange 2003 Service Pack would apply successfully to a 5.5 management tools I don't know but it did the trick.

So, can you guys give me a link please? I want to install BES on a win2000 member server (server2); domain is SBS2003 with Exchange (server1), but I want BES on server2.

I need a link so I can download ESM2003 for win2000 server. It is my first time doing this...HELP!
