I'm having an issue with my MMS messages. For some odd reason, any time I send/receive MMS, while using UMA, it doesn't work. For example, while sending an image while connected to UMA, it takes 5mins, and tells me it has failed. And when receiving a picture, it tells me content not retrieve, and when I click on retrieve now, takes 5 mins, and yet it fails. But when I shut off the wireless, and just send it over the EDGE connection, it works perfectly fine.

Now if your thinking why don't I just run the phone with EDGE only, thats because, the places I am in 90% of the time, barely has connection, but there is a wireless router. Is there away to fix this?

Note, I have a blackberry curve 8320, T-Mobile is the service provider.

I had this same problem last week and I had to call tmo the rep said that it was not a way to fix the problem other than when I wanted to send mms to switch off the wifi.

Yea, I had figured that much out. I was hoping there would've been away to do it on wifi, I guess, I'll have to deal with what I have.

I too am a T-Mobile user with a 8230 on the West Coast.

As a test I just sent an MMS (text and picture) to a friend on the East Coast with NO issues. It arrived at its destination within seconds.

Where I live I have zero cell service so everything goes over UMA.

Did you set up your TCP (in Options/Advanced)? For me APN = wap.voicestream.com

I've also sent MMS over UMA with no problems.
