I do the same thing w/ Plaxo and love it. I sync all my PIM stuff between 3 computers, BB as well as online, its great!

Actually I just installed the 1.3.0 beta and it works good on my pearl... and that google group post says this now...

I have been playing with this app for a few weeks now, and the best I have gotten, is an upload of some holidays, but no download synch of my Google Calendar.

Any ideas?

I installed the 1.3 Beta on my 8310 and it ran without issue on the first run. Downloaded 37 items from across 3 calendars, and uploaded 13 items.

Have not tried the 2.0 release but have had success with the previous version(s).

I am going to install the update now and report back on the differences.

Update: I have installed version 2.01. Three major things I see immediately, the sync runs much faster, the editing and handling of recurring entires has been improved, and the status messages have been refined to better explain what the app is doing.

Some nice upgrades for someone that had very few issues with 1.30. Hopefully someone that had trouble previously could post a review to see if things have been modified to work universally.

Installing now. I didn't have too much trouble either with the 1.3 version.

Thumbs down Still nothing

I'd tried GCalSync multiple times in the past which was a great source for useless error messages.

I've downloaded this newest from the google code page which says they're not working on it anymore, and so far it's said it is "signing in" for the last 20 minutes or so.

Sounds like if you've never had problems with GCalSync you still won't...

UPDATE: read through all forum posts again (and again), the following seems to have fixed it all, doing a full sync of 5 calendars that are on my google account now:

Options->Security Options->TLS and set the TLS default to 'Handheld' instead of 'Proxy'.

Watching the log go by, seems to be lots of errors. We'll see.

Be sure to uninstall any version you have and pull the battery. Then use the following link, on your phone, to get the most recent stable release (2.0.3).

I have an 8320 with 4.2.2.180 loaded, yet the GCalSync 2.0 download page (http://gcalsync.mobi) only seems to offer an option for "BlackBerry 4.2.1". Will this work with my OS? I don't want to screw up my phone by installing software that's not designed for the OS that I'm running.

Thanks!

Hope everyone knows that Google has a calendar sync app now for mobile/BB.

http://mobile.google.com

Seems to work pretty great! two way sync with BB and Gcal for personal calendar. Only one way sync with group calendars ( That is only from group Gcal to your BB)
