Best deal on T-Mobile 8320?
Please Login to Remove!
I'm looking to upgrade my Pearl to a Curve, and am trying to find the best deal. Currently, the T-Mobile store has the Curve for $249.99 after mail-in rebate. Amazon.com is selling them with new service for $49.99 after MIR (great deal if anybody is looking for new service, btw), but they will not sell phones to those with existing service, only to people setting up a new account. Anybody know of a place has good deals going? I've got one year left on my two year contract, and will gladly begin a new two year for the right deal. Thanks!

You can check eBay and the buy/sell/trade forum here. However, $249.99 is probably the best you're going to find for a new device with warranty. It's possible you may find it for lower, but I wouldn't count on it.

id also check those mobile1 stores... i walked by a kiosk one in a mall and the sticker on the phone said 199.99 with rebate. Also went to a store version and the guy was ready to "hook me up" with the best deal better than what the actual T-mobile store cud offer.

For stand-alone device(s), eBay's most likely going to be your best bet.
I usually get my BB/PDA smartphones and Wireless Broadband Aircards thru ACN Wireless. Got my 8320 there with a new T-Mobile acct for like 70 bucks after rebates, although i think that promo is now gone. If you don't mind jumping to ATT (better service anyway) then I think you can score it for like $75 with a new contract after rebate(s). I know they do contract extensions, but not sure the phone prices. Anyhow, doesn't hurt to look around the site: acn-wireless.com
Keep us posted... and good luck on your quest

Last week Best Buy had the Curve for $49 with a two year contract. I had one year left also, but I got it anyway as if you had a new line, it's only $10 more a month... simply take out the sim your using now and put the new one away. This way your monthly fee doesn't go up. This phone was too good to pass up and I'm very glad I got it!
The T-Mobile Store had their "Sale" at $249 at the same time. Never buy one from the T-Mobile store... it is always higher!

Best Buy still has the $49 deal, ans letstalk.com has it for free, but both are with a completely new contract. With a two year renewal, BB is $310 and letstalk is $275. I don't expect the damn thing for free, but I'd think for a two year renewal somebody would be more willing to work with me. I guess tehy figured they've got me sucked in, so I don't really have much of a choice. I'm going to keep digging, though, but I'm jealous of you guys signing up for new service and being able to get these deals. Anybody by chance want to trade a Pearl and some cash for a Curve? I've got a brand new one they just sent me under warranty, it's never even been powered up.

Honestly it all depends on who you talk to when you call in. When my wife was getting my Curve, she was originally quoted 400, then 300, then she talked to a girl who gave it to us 150. All 3 were with a renewal (and we had just renewed about 6 months earlier). Especially if you threaten to disconnect and go with AT&T (which is what my wife ended up doing).

Just called TMo, and spoke to a customer service person (one level above the person who answers the phones.) They came down to $239.99 for the upgrade (from $349.99.) I tried to push a little further, talked about switching to AT&T, but they said that AT&T's plans cost more, so from that point, I really wouldn't be saving anything else, and that they couldn't go any lower than that price. Best deal on an upgrade I've seen so far, but not by much. I'm going to keep digging.

That's a steal. Y'know if they would also be selling newer ones with black keypads (sexy!) I would definitely get another one!

If I were you, I would just buy it directly from T-Mobile. It is very reassuring to know that you have the one year manufacturers warranty backing you up in case something goes wrong with your phone.

I got this off of slickdeals.net:
I heard this from a friend of a friend that works at a call center:
There's a promotion targeting Blackberry Developers, so I think you need the correct code. Here's what you can get:
BB 8100 (PEARL) = FREE after rebate
BB 8700 = FREE after rebate
BB 8320 (CURVE) = $49 after rebate
BB 8800 = $99
BB 8820 = $199
You have to call T-Mobile's Business Direct number and mention either the "campaign name'"or the "promo code" below:
Business Direct: 1-866-464-8662 (option 3)
Campaign Name: RIM Blackberry Offer
Promo Code: 7490TMOFAV
I believe you can choose either 1 or 2 year term. They waive the activation fee and also ship the BB to you for free. Not sure how long the promo runs but she said that it should be good at least through the end of June.
Here's the link if you want to read some more Free T-mobile Blackberry Devices (1 or 2 year term required) - SlickDeals.net Forums.
I bought mine with a smiliar deal back in january. i paid $150 after $50 rebate with a 1 year contract for my curve. It's for new contracts only, no upgrades.
If you want to keep your number & its out of contract, just open a new line, cancel your old line, then do a msisdn reuse to get your old number back. I guess techically i wasn't supposed to do that because its for new customers only. If they were to give their existing customers the same great deals as their new potential customers, I wouldn't have to resort to doing it but whatevers.

In Manhattan the T-Mobile authorized dealers will usually work with the price for cash deals. When I upgraded my t-Mobile blackberry to the 8320 I ended up paying about $210.
