I have an unlock ATT blackberry pearl 8100, and I am using it with a tmobile sim card.
Some of the features are not working like MMS MESSAGES, and also some option under menu are not available.

Am I having this problem because I don't have a TMOBILE software on this unlock ATT device????????

Since I am using a TMOBILE sim card, should I download the TMOBILE software?????

Do I need to contact TMOBILE and let them know that I am using a pearl so they can update their system and maybe I get access to some of the features that are not working on the device???

Having the BB unlocked has nothing to do with it. That is fine.

However, I understand that you will need a Data Plan with the BB to receive and send MMS messages. Do you?

I don't have data plan.
But I am confuse because the phone that my wife had a RZR, she used to send picture and ringtones on MMS and she didn't need a data plan.

Is it because it is a BB phone?????

If I have a data plan can i send pictures or songs thru MMS????

If you get a data plan on a BB, you will be able to do much much more.

I honestly don't know about sending a song through MMS, never tried it.

I would guess there would be a size limit, I would ask the carrier.

I send ringtones through MMS but havent tried a song
