Default Application push not working for one device

Please Login to Remove!

I've got a test BES 4.1.4 running on Domino with just 2 users. I'm trying to push Sametime down to both users. One (mine of course...) works like it's supposed to, textbook install. the other however never get's the app. I've tried pushing other apps too as a test (ECL for instance), mine works fine, the other never works. We are both in the same user group with the same IT policy and application policy. On the one that never loads I see: "Application Status: Install Required". I've scoured the forum here and the blackberry site but have not found anything that helps. I've checked the polc log, I'm not seeing a problem with the hardwardid as others have seen. I just tried an "Erase Data and disable handheld" and then reactiviated. Activation works fine, but again no app pushed down...

I did see the following in the polc log shortly after the KILL_HANDHELD_COMMAND:

"[40000] (03/18 20:32:43.359):{0x1060} BESDB_AddAppControlPoliciesToPolicy - The Device Capabilities reported that the device associated with UserId=3 is not App Control Policy Capable, App Control Policies will not be added to the OTA Policy for this device."

This device is a sprint 8130 running 4.3.0.71

Any ideas??

You might need to replace the device.xml file on the bes and then wait about 4 hours to see if that helps. Each time the bes does a poll for missing apps it reloads the file so no restart of services is required. If that does not work then maybe wipe and re-ea the user again with the new file.

I just replaced the device.xml with the update one from jibi. Issued a "Deploy Applications" after, same result. I'll give the wipe and re-ea a try.

Check the following path and delete the cached folders on your BES:

C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\PackageCache

Deleted the folders below the PackageCache, reissued Deploy Apps, same result...

Seems like the device is preventing installation of apps somehow...

Have you tried resetting the device (removing the battery and putting back)?

Yep, did yesterday, but it won't hurt to try again...

Well, no improvement here.. Battery pull, new device.xml, deleted and recreated user account on BES, reactivated. Still can't push and app. Is there something I should look for in the POLC log that would give some clue as to what's happening?

I have 115 users. I have many 8130's that have no issues receiving the Sametime app. I have 5 8130's who do not receive the app. The common thread is the 8130's who DO NOT receive the app are all on SPRINT! To confuse the issue even more, all of the other SPRINT devices have no issues receiving the Sametime app. I am waiting on one of the sprint users to open a ticket with sprint support. It has been my experience that sprint support has been less than stellar!!!

FYI: the device.xml rev is 10.0.0.47

Same here! The 8130 is on Sprint! Can you push any app to the Sprint 8130s?

Haven't tried to push anything else. Sametime is the only app we use.

Default Same issue, same vendor, different app, different device model

I'm having the same issue with a Salesforce application push. I've pushed to 90 users this week. Everyone has received and installed the application with no issues except one user with Sprint PCS and has an 8703e. I've checked the device.xml, and the 8703e is listed. The same message is showing in the POLC log:

BESDB_AddAppControlPoliciesToPolicy - The Device Capabilities reported that the device associated with UserId=3853 is not App Control Policy Capable, App Control Policies will not be added to the OTA Policy for this device.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
