ALT-I on a 7100
Please Login to Remove!
Did a search on this, but couldn't really find what I was looking for.
I am a former 7230 user, now using at 7100t. Is Alt-I still a usable feature to view the incoming messages? I can't seem to get it to work on my 7100t.
Any advice?
TIA.
Jeff

Anyone?
ALT-O works on my 7100t to view outgoing messages, but ALT-I does nothing. Is this supposed to be the case with this model?
Thanks
Jeff

YOu have to hit the "I" key twice. Same with entering codes that require the second letter on the key (type twice for H, etc.).

Thanks for the reply, but that didn't work for me. ALT-O works fine...but no dice on ALT-I.

Nope; didn't work for me when I had a 7100t. I complained to RIM about this on October 1st - they day after I got the 7100t. Never heard back.

ALT+UI (then let go of ALT) does Incoming, although it is slow for me in responding
ALT+M does MMS Messages
ALT+OP does Phone Calls
ALT+CV does Voicemail Messages
ALT+AS does SMS Messages
This is on the O2 theme, although I don't think it will be different for any others. Just make sure you are depressing the ALT key, pushing the letter key once, then letting go of the ALT key.
*Edit: Works on the Default (List), T-Mobile and Vodafone themes, as well. I guess I should put that this is with 4.0.2 OS on a 7100t, since NJBB is having the issue as well.

Jibi is correct (as always). All I have to do is press the alt button and then the U/I button once and it shows "Incoming" messages. So forget what I said about hitting the button twice (and I was so damn proud of myself). 7100t running the 4.02 code. Maybe they were able to add that key shortcut by removing the usable bluetooth volume.

Well, I am not having any luck here.
I have:
Hit ALT and I at the same time (Holding both)
Hit ALT then I then released ALT (while continuing to holding I)
Hit ALT and I and released both
Nothing seems to get me the Incoming list.
I am trying to see my filed messages (without truning off HIDE FILED MESSAGES) so I can delete them quickly and when I want, as opposed to right when I file them.
ALSO, is there a way to lock the caps key so I can mark a bunch of e-mails for deleting whithout having to hold the shift key?
Thanks all.
Jeff
