I think it is important to let him know how many users you guys have too. 100-200 users is a lot different than 1000-2000 users.

Default T2 TSupport

My last experience with t2 support is over a year old, but then it was lousy. I had a fatal hardware failure and needed to move everything over. I was on hold for at least 1-2 HOURS before I got a semi-cohernt tech. This was typical with (virtually) every other call I made to them, except on those rare occasions.

My (former) mgmt looked into other alternatives, but nothing was ever purchased.. If I could have called the carrier (then Nextel) and got immediate support, I would have done it in a heartbeat.

I only have 50 users and I have Tx2. Piece of mind is worth every penny. Plus the only people who have a Blackberry are the executives and IT.

Another added benefit to Tx support - major BES upgrades are FREE.

While I agree with this sentiment from the majority of deployments, there's always this offering for a good number of companies through their carrier, as well. Let's face it, RIM nor the carriers make much money on devices or software. They make their money on monthly subscriptions (both RIM and the carriers) and support contracts (RIM).

Yep,
We bought 4.0 and AT&T (Cingular) sent us a new 4.1 key upon request.
