Hi I have an 8300 curve and well the media card was working until i took out the battery to put in a new SIM card. Now my blackberry says "No media card is presently installed" when I have one correctly in place that was working perfectly a few hours ago

Please help, has anybody else had this problem?

Try a battery pull and see if it does anything. Also, make sure the media card is seated well in the phone itself, they can be sensitive on the sensors...

and as a second point, go into options > media card and see if it says anything there. where are you getting "no media card present" error?

One thing I just noticed - if the BB is connected to usb and Mass Storage is enabled, none of the applications that use the card will find it. That is Media Player, Xplayer, etc all come up "blank" when the card shows up as another drive on the computer.
