Default Question about web browser on titanium blackberry on att

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought the 8310 titanium on ATT and wanted to see if anyone else was having the same problem. Whenever i load images on the web browser, the pictures look kind of blurry and distored...almost like the images you see on your computer screen when your resolution is incorrect. It kind of has a mosiac effect (not sure if that's the right term). I can make out wwhat the images are but i just bought this and dont want a defective unit. Does anyone else have this problem with the browser images?

I don't have the problem, but I really can picture what you are talking about. When I have my desktop PC in the wrong resolution, things just appear smaller or larger according to the resolution.

In browser option, general properties, there is an image quality setting. Have you played with that to see what happens?

Yep, I tried changing the settings too but to no avail... still poor image quality.

Is that on ONE website, or various websites?

Same thing on other pages, too, or just one?

Are you using some proxy to mobilize the page, like google's, yahoo's or skweezer? Or are you pointing your blackberry browser directly to the web page address?

Yea, it's on all other pages too.

No, i'm not suing any proxies, etc. I'm browsing directly from the standard web browser provided on the blackberry.

Beats the heck out of me. I don't know why it would fix this (whatever it is), but try a hard reset (pull battery for 30 or more seconds).

EDIT: I wonder if the web pages are not fully loading, leaving the images incomplete. Any indication that is what is happening?

no, the images look complete and it does finish loading.... I guess i'll just make another trip down to the AT&T store after church to get it looked at. I'll just ask them to swap it. Thanks for trying to help me out though....

Give us an update if you figure out what it is, or if the next device is better or not. I'm curious now.

If you can, why not drop into a store and try a display model. Or if you know someone with same model, try thay.

I'm way out on a limb here, but my guess is if were a problem with the display you would at least notice something elsewhere and not just with the images. Not there to see what you are seeing, I have no idea, however,
