Well it turns out that this is correct, mostly. There are different tiers of plans:

29.99 = Personal BIS
34.99 = Corporate with 4MB data
44.99 = Corporate with Unlimited Data
59.99 = Corporate with Unlimited Data + Tether

I upgraded to the Corporate Unlimited plan and after powering on and off it is working the the BES perfectly. Oh well, it's just another reason why I won't be sticking with AT&T when my contract is up.

Get your company to pay the data portion of your bill. If they want you connected all the time they should pay for it. Thats how I worked it out with my employer.

It's complicated in my case. They don't need me to be on the BES but I want to since we have that option now. My boss payed for the license on the server so I think it's only fair that I bite AT&T's bullet until my contract ends. If they were requiring it then I would certainly ask them to pay the difference, of course they would probably just get me a Verizon 8830 and avoid the issue instead. ;)
