I am unsure if service books from a 4.3 device would work on a 4.2 device. have you called ATT?

It simply will not work. The 8320 WILL NOT receive the service books from AT&T, no matter how many different ways you try. I just went back to a 8300 which works great although no Wifi.

The 8310 should work being it is an AT&T released phone. If it doesn't work, you should get it replaced by AT&T. Are you sure you have a messaging plan on top of your BB data plan?

I have a AT&T 8300 w/data plan but no BB plan. MMS works fine on it.

Just bought T-mobile 8320 unlocked but it doesn't have MMS. Tried registering the PIN and IMEI but AT&T/BB won't accept it (https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=mycingular). So I can't get the service book sent to the 8320.

Anyone actually have any luck talking to AT&T to send service book for a T-mobile 8320 with T-mobile PIN/IMEI?

Or am I stuck with having no MMS on the 8320?

the ATT BIS site has no way of discerning carrier on the BB. What is the error message provided to you when you try and register the IMEI/PIN. If you do not have a BB plan, then you cannot log into BIS

The 8320 will receive service books fine. As a matter of Fact, ANY GSM BB device that supports the same wireless bands as ATT will recieve ATT service books as long as it is unlocked and contains an ATT SIM. Thats the great part of GSM, you can use devices from most anywhere in the world.

If I try to change the device, the msg is "The information you have provided is not valid for this service provider."

If I try to set up a new account, the msg is "This Blackberry is registered with a different service provider. Please re-register this Blackberry and verify the URL matches the one provided by your service provider"

where did you get the 8320? it sounds as if someone is using the device already with their BIS account and didnt clear it before selling. They may have removed their email accounts from it, but not from the account itself. I have switched between all of the 83xx series devices with Tmo and ATT and never had any problems.

Thanks for pointing this out.

I've asked the seller to contact T-mobile and clear it from the BIS account.
