Default How to make .log work with Attachment Viewer?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a backup log that gets emailed to me every night and as being a server admin I would love to figure out how to open up the attachment via the attachment viewer. Do you guys know a way I can open up a .log file to view? It is simply just a .txt file that is a summary of what has been backed up. It usually is only 5-10kb. It would open up perfectly in notepad..etc.

Please help with any suggestions?

I don´t think, it´s possible to open a .log document on a bb, but is there any possibility to rename it?

If you can have the server rename it and send it to you with a .txt extension you can open it.

This is easy to fix if you have your own BES. I have a ver 3.6 BES and was able to get it to work. On the server there is a start menu option called "attachment service configuration tool" choose this then select "connector configuration" you can then add your "log" extention to the list of format extentions. I tested it and it works fine.

Note: be sure to restart your BES service after adding or it will not work.
