Default Has this ever happened to you..

Has your BB (8320) ever shut off for no apparent reason? Today I went to take my BB out of the holster and it was dead (for a lack of better word). I did a battery pull and it started to work again. Before I pulled the battery, none of the buttons were responding..

This doesn't happen often but its strange to say the least.

Thanks

It's happened to me a few times. I thought it was just mine because my boss gave me his. He had previously dropped it in water and took it apart asap and it's worked pretty good other then the occasional out of the holster and powered off stage.

It may happen on a rare occasion. Do a battery pull and see if it happens again.

In the last few months, this happened OFTEN on my 8100 (I just upgraded to the 8320 a few days ago). It was very frustrating, and I was never able to figure out what was causing it. But as often as three times a day the device would completely die and require a battery pull to restart. It made me sad :(

I have not experienced it o either of my BB, I would make sure you have the latest OS and also look for any third party application that may be causing it.

Is it just shutting off or is your battery getting drained too?

It does not drain the battery and I am running the latest OS. I thought it may be a 3rd party app. as well. Is very strange and annoying..

Can you remove the 3rd party app and see if that works?

I could but I have no idea what the issue is and it happens so infrequent I am reluctant to unload my apps that I use all the time..

I just thought it could be a bad app that was causing the problem

Recently mine has been resetting. I have noticed that it consistently occurs when using BT while on a call w/a Jawbone. So far it is happened two times this week!

Haven't installed any apps/themes etc. recently so I'm not quite sure.
