Two of my users are overseas and are intermittingly getting the SIM Card Rejected error. RIM tells me that means they are out of coverage. Can someone verify that? I just don't trust RIM tech support anymore.

that normally mean that they use a diff carrier simcard on a sim locked phone.

Their devices work fine until they enter Shanghai. Is it the carrier in the city?

are they able to perform a manual network scan?
If so try a different network.

check with your network what their preferred gprs roaming partner is in that country.
