in your phone book on the motorola, you can go to options then hit copy....then you can copy all your phone contacts to your sim card.
put the sim card into your blackberry and go to your address book and hit options/sim phone book, then hit options again and hit copy all to phone. this will copy all the contacts from the sim into the bb.
When copying contacts from a previous phone, BB listed each contact's numbers as a separate contact. e.g. Joe work, Joe Mobile, Joe Home became three separate contacts. Is there anyway to correct this or would I have to manually do it on my blackberry?
thx
Manually. A SIM contact will hold only one phone number per contact. If there is a way to sync your Moto phone to Outlook that would be the easiest way. I don't know much about Motorola phones though. If so, you could sync it to Outlook, make any changes/consolidations there, and then sync your Blackberry to Outlook.
Copy your phone contacts from your moto to your sim. Then pull out the sim from the moto and put in the BB. Then add sim phone book to BB. Hope this help's.
I really appreciate the advice, but your suggestions apparently are notworking for me. I copied my address book to the Moto and put the sim into my BB. After the boot up process finished, the display says, "Invalid SIM Card" Any suggestions. My provider for the Moto V551 was Cingular, then ATT, so I am surprised that I am having these problems.
yes, the contacts are clean. However, this is not working. The BB still indicates invalid sim. As an alternative, and since the Moto is still reading the sim, can I transfer the phone numbers to a pc , as an intermediate step, and then to the BB?
