I am most likely waiting for the Curve, but if I play with a Verizon Pearl and it feels good I might just get that.

Can't wait to dump my 8703e...

I just finished up setting up a Pearl on our BES and during that time the little device grew on me. I used to be so against the suretype thing, thinking it would be difficult to get used to, but as soon as I picked up the device I was chugging away. And you can't beat the size!!
My only concern is the screen size. I'd have to decide if the increased screen size with the 83xx/88xx is that much of a benefit over the smallness of the Pearl. Plus, the Pearl is coming out for Verizon any day now!! Who can beat that!!?!? Decisions Decisions!!

I suppose it might be a time to do a search on how people feel about the smaller screen on the Pearl in it's forum.

Pearl for me! I have waited and thought about the 8800 but after playing with a Pearl for 15 minutes I have decided to get one when Verizon releases next month.

Default VZW-Curve?

I got a curve for one week from ATT. The phone service was almost as good but boy does the curve feel CHEAP will these things hold up? I returned it because it wouldn't get a signal in my building. My 8703e my be big, and I miss not having the camera but it is rock solid. I don't think that if they come out with a curve that I would want one now. Since I was with Nextime(tel) and had a 7100i I cannot stand unsure type. SOOOOO looks like I will be using the 8703 for a long time.

Pearl for me.

I was in line at an airport when a lady next to me let me play with hers. I had suretype on my old 7100T, so that doesn't both me.

Made my 8703e feel like a brick

Trust me, i own a pearl from T-mobile that I use for work, and the screen is prefectly fine sizewise for me. Unless you live on your phone to surf the net, you will appreciate the form factor of the Pearl.

I've never been allowed to bring any sort of phone into every SCIF I've ever been in, so I just leave the Pearl in the car... I agree that there is a market for RIM to produce Pearls / Curves without cameras for gov't / corp compliance.

Isn't it funny how we are now saying there's a market for non-camera phones. It says a lot considering RIM only included them in the last year or so. RIM clearly values the consumer market.
