Default blackberry browser - can i turn it off?

Please Login to Remove!

I only use opera mini.. So i dont need bb browser running.. Is there any way of turing that off?

I should save some battery on that i guess? :P

you can uninstall it but you wont be able to download anything to your bb as opera doesnt support dls to a BB

What about blackberry messenger? Is it possible to turn that off? or is it necessery to have it on?

again have to delte it from the apps no way to turn it off

Messages, Phone, Messenger, and Browser have to always be open so that they can respond to events like calls and pushes.
Just ignore them and don't worry about them, they're not affecting anything.

again, if you don't use them, ignore them...or you can uninstall them as noted earlier as well...no turning off though...

BlackBerry messenger is not carrier dependent. As long as you have a BlackBerry data plan you can use it to message other BlackBerries

No it is not connected to ANYTHING else. It is BlackBerry messenger and that is it. If you don't use BB messenger then delete it. Enough said.

It's understandable you want to have the least amout of programs running and a lean mean machine, but the browser and bbmessenger are things you should just forget about removing.

Hm,.Im trying to set my browser like you said here..
