I guess I am not sure what you mean by 'wifi for your calls' To me that does not make sense. wifi is a higher speed net connection right? If I make a call it does not improve and it does not improve speed or clarity?? ..and if there is no signal I still cannot make one???

am I right, wrong, or misunderstanding that concept.

btw for the confusion part, you are right. thanks. U never learn.

Eric,
I can't make it any clearer. With the new 8320 you can use your home wireless internet connection (if you have one) to make calls and surf the internet and get your email, etc. Everything you can do over EDGE you can do over UMA (wifi.) You can turn off your EDGE connection if you wanted to and you would still be able to make calls using the UMA (wifi connection.) It's simple really.

You will get everything you need with that plan. You'll be able to use wifi, you'll get push email, etc. You'll even be able to make calls over wifi that will be deducted from whatever minute rate plan you are signed up for.

You don't need the Hotspot@Home plan unless you want unlimited calls over wifi.
And use T-mobile's HotSpots for data.
