Exclamation NEWS 4.3 Os was suppose to be released tonight @12

Please Login to Remove!

Exactly what the title says..... Thanks to N8Dbb from Pinstacks

Quote:
TMO has missed some deadlines before, but the scheduled release of the 4.3 OS upgrade is scheduled for tonight at midnight eastern time. Word is this is the OS that will also support tabbed browser and include the necessary modules for the RIM based messengers to work (AIM, yahoo, msn). Should be released on T-Mobile Upgrade.

Like I stated in the initial post, it is supposed to be 12 midnight tonight. IF it doesn't happen then, don't be yelling at me because you stayed up all night. Hah. No need to get TOO excited that you get po'd because it doesn't come up in time.

My source is a 3rd level tier BlackBerryxxx8482; Support Supervisor for TMO that is on shift tonight.

Apparently TMO realizes they need to get this up as its one of the hinderances of that AT Home not working correctly.

As whether or not they will be launching it for the 88 and 87 series, I am not for sure. But I have been verified that it will be for the 8320 series.

Again, if it doesn't post at the exact time given, don't be po'd and don't stay up all night waiting for it on my behalf. I am simply reporting info from a very high level bb tech @ tmo who is very accurate on all the information they have given me previously.

But also, I don't want to wake up to my PM box filled because it didn't go off without a hitch. Didn't tmo put up then take down and put back up the 4.2 os for the 87 series

Like he said.... He has heard nothing solid. But his source has been right before

Wirelessly posted (8320: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Where would it be posted? www.tmobile.com/bbupgrade doesn't have the 8320 listed (yet at least)

I'm definitely looking forward to OS 4.3! I thought it was going to be released later on this year but hey if it's released now then that's even better!!

there is nothing there yet. I even tried changing the deviceID around to a few other numbers on the bbupgrade link but nothing. Who knows maybe something will come up. I am also trying www.blackberry.com/aim to see if that leads to any instructions on how to at least get that service book sent.

If the OS is for the 8320 then, no, it won't be compatible with the 8300 Curve.
