Since they will be selling the 8320 in stores today, does this mean we can call customer service and order it now, instead of waiting till Monday to place orders?

Ok, I have to admit I am a bit jealous now. I ordered mine Wednesday and still no shipping confirmation or tracking number and you guys have this beautiful titanium unit in your hands. Did anyone who pre-ordered get a shipping confirmation and tracking number yet?

Default Got Mine

I got it!

Heres the deal. I called 7 corporate stores..all have one thing in common:

They only have 5 titanium colors...and 5 gold. Some are taking names for reservations, some are saying first come first serve. One place I called asked first if I was an existing or new customer. I said new. The sales person said to come on in that day (friday, today) and he would sell me one. While we were activating the line, he literally got 5 calls asking. When they replied they were existing, he replied to them saying that it will be available on the 24th.

He smiled at me after getting off the phone knowing I knew what was going on. He explained that he is willing to sell to new contracts because they earn more and gain more customers. He said this is unspoken but that store managers give them this general direction indirectly. They are hoping that all 10 of their phones are sold to new contracts, and when Monday comes, that they really will be out and will have none for the existing customers until next shipment which could be immediate, or not. This aligned with the types of questions that were being asked of me everytime I called.

I live in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Hope this helps.

By the way, the Curve color is darker than before and is considered titanium, which is alot darker than the silver. It looks like a smaller thinner Palm Treo (similar color). Thats the truth. I went into the store knowing I wanted the Titanium, but I leaned torwards the gold when I saw both face to face. The gold really doesent look bad at all. I debated for a few minutes and went with the safe titanium (more corporate). The gold looks good because it isnt dark gold, but gold blended with silver. Light and attractive. In the end, I went with the safe color..but yes, it looks like a Jr. Treo because of the dark grayness, much darker than the previous Curve...

Hope this helps!

i called CS and the man transferred me a few times, and then the guy said SORRY, BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO CALL ON MONDAY, BUT YOU WILL MOST LIKELY RECIEVE IT TUESDAY THRU UPS, which has always been the case with me, getting the phone the next day. oh well, i tried, but its ok, someone already bought my pearl on ebay for 250 plus shipping, so im good... the guy said on the phone that i will be able to get my phone for 299, so i am not taking much of a hit, even tho my company will be paying for it seeing as how i use it for 'work' hahaha

I can confirm that T-Mobile's Customer Service is accepting orders over the phone today for upgrades. I called just a few minutes ago. The CS rep said I should receive it on Wednesday.

You are right, I do have a curve, in fact I have two of them and they are both dropping calls on me. Two people on this forum suggested it was a hardware issue, but could I be that unlucky to have the same issue with both of them. I am running the latest OS and they are both AT&T branded that I unlocked. I am hoping the 8320 will work better on my T-Mobile service and I won't drop any more phone calls. It is very frustrating, never had a dropped call on my Treo!
