DocGo,

Thanks for the reply. Last one: with the hybrid, is it a HARD clear plastic on the front, or a softer kind of plastic?

Thanks.

Hybrid case: top part is clear hard plastic and bottom part is rubberized hard black plastic. Actually, the plastic is quite pliable (probably because it is thin) but does not stretch like the skin case.

DocGo,

For the hybrid, I am confused by the term "rubberized plastic". Does that mean it's plastic with a rubber cover? Does it feel like rubber?

Lastly, is the hybrid case thinner than the rubber only case?

Also, does anybody know the best place to get a skin/holster combo? Is Seidio's website the best price out there?

Thanks.

Sorry for the confusion. The rubberized term refers to a coating that we apply to the plastic. It is similar in feel to the coating on many of today's new phones such as the Treo 750, Sprint Motorola Q and T-Mobile Wing. It gives the case a better grip and adds a kind of "Batman" look. The coating is extremely thin and there is no noticable difference in the hybrid and rubberized cases.

Thanks

Seido makes really good cases and has really good service IMO. I do like that rubberized material.

Ok, I'm deciding between the all rubber case and the hybrid. Two final questions:

1. The rubber and hybrid use DIFFERENT holsters, I assume?

2. Does the all rubber case provide a lot more protection that the hybrid with the clear plastic front?

Thanks.

I believe the hoslter is the same for the rubberized, the skin case and the hybrid case.

I bought both the Seidio black rubber skin and the hard plastic holster, based on what I read here. I like the holster, and with one MAJOR exception, am happy with the skin as well.

The problem with the skin is the rubber piece that goes over the SEND, MENU, ESCAPE, & END keys. It's designed so the trackball is accessible which leaves a very thin strip of rubber over the trackball. When using the trackball, one can't help but contact that rubber strip repeatedly, and it stretches and becomes loose. The end result is you cant use the trackball without the rubber interfering and/or continuing to contact and stretch further. I don't think the skin will last much longer now that the cross piece is so stretched.

Anyone else experience this problem? Any solutions or suggestions? Thanks

No. They use the same holster.

Not really. They're made exactly the same except for the rubberized coating on the front piece.

Thanks

yeah, thats the best holster to buy, it has a magnet that turns the screen off automatically, and it is well made...

don't use skin as it won't slid in the holster easiley.... just buy universal screen protectors for the LCD....

AND DON'T DROP IT!

I'm a HUGE Seidio fan...you simply cannot go wrong with their stuff. I've got 3 BBs I buy for (1 is mine), all three in Seidio holsters, 1 in a Seidio hard skin, 2 with Seidio screen protectors, and I'm using their extended life 8300 battery.
