Default no exchange between BB7290 and laptop

Please Login to Remove!

I'll try to be short, I need help.
I've installed the desktop manager and redirector. But the software does not find the blackberry, while the computer reconises the BB. For instance the Media Manager can't find the device as well. So I can't transfer any info.
any ideas?

Your 7290 and computer may not have any Bluetooth profiles in common.

Turn on your 7290's Bluetooth, click the Options icon, choose the Bluetooth entry, click to bring up the menu, and click the Options entry. You should see the 7290's Bluetooth profiles listed under Services. Those are the only profiles your 7290 supports. Your computer will have a different set of supported profiles. If two communicating Bluetooth devices don't have a profile in common, they may be able to pair up, but they won't be able to do anything together.

If you've been able to pair your computer with your 7290, click the Options/Bluetooth entry for your computer, and select Device Properties. You should see your computer's supported profiles listed under Services. Compare those services with the services for your 7290 to see if there's a match.

Thanks, but I don't have a bluetooth icon on the BB... so I am not able to use this.
I've connected the BB by USB....
Do you think it's possible that because I don't have a mediaplayer on the BB yet, that the mediamanager on the laptop doesn't reconize the BB-device?

It's possible Vodaphone handles Bluetooth differently than T-Mobile. On a T-Mobile 7290, you would need the Bluetooth icon to turn Bluetooth on and off. Do you have a Bluetooth entry after you click the Options icon? If so, try switching on Bluetooth that way.

As far I know, the Roxio program isn't compatible with the 7290. The 7290 can't play video or audio files (except for MIDI), whether they be internally accessible files or streamed through a Web browser. Compared with the 8800 or 8300 series, the 7290 is very limited in its media capabilities.

The usual method for adding ringtones and images is to download them from a website using your browser.

Here are two examples you can experiment with:
