One more reason to hold off on upgrading your OS: Tethering appears to be broken. I updated my Pearl on Tuesday and discovered I'm now in the same situation as most everyone else using the Cingular release of 4.2.1 - I can connect once, but if disconnected I have to pull the battery on my phone to reconnect.

Well, at least I now have a way to debug the problem...

I have the same problem. I just bought my Pearl 7 days ago and it's from day one not been able to connect. Did you by any chance fix the problem? How did you do it?

Good thing TMO pulled the latest software update and are advising people to revert to the old .64 software.

Really? Didn't notice that. I think I'll go back to the TIM Italy release of 4.2.1 - all the goodness of 4.2.1 and tethering, too.
