Sorry if this has been answered before, but I could not find any type of detailed discussion.

I am a corporate user connected through BES, but I own my blackberry. If I upgrade the OS/Applications, will that (1) definitely cause me problems with my co's BES server; (2) possibly cause me problems; or (3) should be OK...

My IT guys know I'm a born button-pusher, and they generally don't give me too much grief, but I don't want to lose connectivity and have to go hat in hand to get it back....
