I'm trying to install blackberry desktop manager on a windows XP SP2 and i'm desperate. I do not know what to do. Each time i install it i get a windows installer error. the error is:

"1720. there is a problem with this windows installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. contact your support personnel or package vendor. Custom action RIM_InstallOptionalITAdminFiles error -2147319779,: Line 8,Column 1, "

After the error the installation do a rollback action.
I've tried many things i've seen in forums like:
- Reinstall windows installer 3.1
- Install wscript 5.6
- Rename installshiel folder.
- Disable script scanning.
after doing all that i still get the same error.
Any ideas?

I have searched but unable to find the solution to the 2147319779 script error. Can someone please offer a solution?

After Hours of seraching, I have found the patch that you need to install. Once you download it, restart the computer and then re-install desktop manager.
