Default What is the most updated OS for 8703e?

I'm getting a refurbished one tomorrow. What OS should I look for to make sure it's the most recent one?

Thanks

Thank you for the link. I'm still learning my way around...

I'm sure this is obvious to you pros but I'll ask anyway:

Why would the 4.2 be dated 3/07 and 4.1 be dated 5/07?

BlackBerry Desktop Software v4.2 (updated 3-28-2007)
Note: This download is for BlackBerry devices from Verizon Wireless.

BlackBerry Device Software v4.1 (updated 5-23-2007)
Note: This download is for the BlackBerry 8703e from Verizon Wireless only.

Does that mean that 4.1 IS the most up to date OS for 8703e and a 4.2 version has not yet been released?

4.2 is the version of the Desktop Manager
4.1 is the version of the handheld OS.

Two separate files.

What's the main improvement of 4.2 over 4.1?

All Blackberry OS versions basically stink. The only improvement is that 4.2 allows double the number of application modules to be installed.

It also take 3 times as long to load most information.

Absolute nonsense.
And you're a BlackBerry developer?

One thing... if you have Windows Vista and/or Outlook 2007, you need Desktop Manager 4.2. Outlook 2007 won't work with 4.1 Desktop Manager and I'm pretty sure the same applies for Vista.
