Default Cingular Pearl cannot send photos via MMS?

Please Login to Remove!

OK, heres the problem I am having,

I can send txt messages fine. I can send emails fine.

I cannot take a picture and send it to another phone - when I take a pic, and choose send, it asks EMAIL or MMS... well I dont want to email it, I want to send it to another phone (even another cingular phone)... so I choose MMS and pick the phone number.

It doesnt send. I get a red X in the message log and it said failed to send.

I can email a pic fine. I can also sent sms text messages fine.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

I used to have this same issue with my T-Mobile 8700g phone. I would have to take the battery out for about 5 seconds, then resend the MMS message and it would work. It finally started sending properly when I upgraded my handheld OS. You may also want to try and send an MMS to yourself first, then try to send it to another phone.

It sounds like you are doing everything right! It's got to be something with your settings.

So pulling the battery is the only way reset the phone???? what a drag!

Ive got an AT&T Pearl that sends MMS perfectly each time. Once in a while I get a red X when im in an area with not that great a reception, but normally it just works.

I have the same problem. AT&T with unlimited data package. 2GB mem card.

And pulling the battery doesn't help at all.

Call your provider. I just did and it worked! I have the unlimited data package and a text message package, but the MMS service was not activated. They tried re-sending the service book, but that didn't work. Then they added the MMS service. I rebooted the phone and sent the MMS that previously had the red X and everything worked fine.
