My ultimate goal is to install BBSmart Email Viewer v2.0 on my 7130c. After reviewing the thread on the AfterMarket board, I assume I need to download the latest OS and Desktop Manager first, so time to show my stupidity:

I currently have v4.1.0.381 (Platform 2.1.0.34), and Desktop Manager 4.1.1.9

I assume I need to go to https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4 to get started.

So, do I download Blackberry Desktop Software 4.2 (several previous versions are also available), THEN download 4.2 Service Pack 1, THEN download 4.2 Service Pack 2, and FINALLY download BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.2.1.154, which includes Applications: 4.2.1.96, Software Platform: 2.3.0.78

Is that too many steps, or should I go ahead and download all that I mentioned?

Get the latest Desktop Manager installed first.

Then download and install the OS version you mentioned. Those are the steps.

Installation instructions and info about the OS are in a sticky at the top of this 7100 forum.

Ok, I successfully downloaded Desktop Manager 4.2.2, and did a Synch, but now all of my Calendar appointments and Contacts from Outlook appear twice in my 7130c. How did I screw that up?
